Sharp Willcom D4 is the latest UMPC from Japan. This powerful handheld computer uses Intel’s latest and smallest processor Atom which allows for longer battery lives. This UMPC does not natively include a standalone processor but thanks to a bluetooth GPS receiver and available GPS navigation software it can very well be used a sat nav system in your vehicle. The processor in this UMPC runs at 1.3Ghz and comes with a 1GB RAM. It runs Vista and has a screen that measures 5″ diagonal and has a resolution of 1024×600. |

Magellan RoadMate 1430 finally appeared on Magellan’s website after we announced the 1400 series back in January from CES 2008. RoadMate 1430 is the top of the line product in this series featuring Live traffic capability which is not offered in RoadMate 1412 or RoadMate 1400. |

Mio’s new lineup “Moov” was recently announced and now we have a review for Mio Moov 200. The new Moov devices run on an in-house navigation software developed by using Navman technology, a GPS company Mio bought out last year. As a result, user interface on Mio devices has changed quite a bit. Although the reviewer likes some of the differences, such as Moov’s text-to-speech conversion, multi-segment routing, and multiple language support, it looks like Mio has taken a step backward when it comes to presenting POIs. |

Airis T482 is a PDA GPS phone that will hit the market in France as early as this week. You will be able to purchase it wit or without the GPS navigation software - CoPilot Live which developed by ALK Technologies. Airis T482 has quadband GSM (850/900/1800/1900 MHz), GPRS and EDGE, runs on a Marvell PXA270 processor at 416MHz and there’s a second processor called Philips Grangonfly SS6120. T482 will come with 128MB of ROM and 64MB of RAM. It is very light weighing only 165 grams and measuring 125×62x14 mm. |

According to alleyinsider - which has nothing to base their facts on - the new 3G iPhone will be out soon and will feature GPS capabilities thanks to a Broadcom chip. |

After Asus R700 we now hear that Asus is showcasing Asus R700t - pretty much the same GPS navigation system with traffic message channel capability. The rest of the specs will remain the same - but to summarize R700t will have a 4.3″ touch screen, hands free bluetooth to pair up with your phone, and run on a long lasting 1300mAh Li-Ion battery. |

Asus unveiled a new GPS-enabled mobile phone. The Asus P750-es phone is a HSDPA capable GSM phone supporting 900/1800/1900MHz operating frequencies and runs on Windows Mobile 6. Powered by a PXA270M 520MHz processor, the P750 is equipped with 64MB SDRAM and 256MB Flash memory. On-board goodies include WLAN 802.11b/g, USB 1.1 connectivity and Bluetooth 2.0+EDR. The phone also incorporates an SiRF III chipset GPS and supports the TMC (traffic message channel) so you can have real-time information on traffic and other details about reaching your destination in time. |
