 We already knew about Magellan iPod Touch car kit and said it would also work with the iPhone. Well Magellan just revealed more details about their car kit. First off, it will cost $130. This is the price of the hardware only. The GPS navigation app from Magellan ($80) is not included. However the good thing about this car kit is that you can use any of iPhone GPS apps available. And secondly it is expected to start shipping on January 7th, 2010. Worth waiting for? Maybe. |

 Hopefully soon enough this will be standard but these days if you want a GPS enabled netbook you’ll have to go with Samsung N150. The rest of the specs are pretty good too. You can expect 3G connectivity first off. Even though the 1024×600 resolution on the 10.1″ screen is not very pleasing, you’ll pleased to hear about the 4,400 mAh battery and the sub $400 price tag. |

 If you’re into maps and/or live in New York you’re going to like this. Mapping New York is a book that just came out. It is 272 pages of awesome maps of New York that cover the last 400 years of the city – from the time it was a Dutch trading post – aka New Amsterdam – to the current time covering transportation, crime, commerce, artist renderings, population, and future projection. |

 NDrive GPS navigation app – which has been available on the iPhone is now available for Android users. What’s difference between Google Maps Navigation and NDrive? and why should you pay for NDrive when Google Maps Navigation is free? Well first off Google Maps Navigation needs a high speed data service for the app to be useful, and secondly not everybody lives in the U.S. where Google Maps Navigation works. So NDrive uses complete maps installed on your phone and does not require 3G data service which maybe costly for some people. |

 Back in July we talked about the release of Trimble Outdoors on Android. Now it is December and Trimble has a new version already. Trimble Outdoors basically is an app for outdoors kind of people letting them find their way, capture their trips with photos, and video, and share online with others. |

 There’s a new app out for the BlackBerry called FlightView where you can in real-time get flight information and weather conditions. The app actually syncs with your device so you can get alerts directly from BlackBerry’s calendar. FlightView costs $5 and you can get it from the App World… |
