Yes, long time GPS navigation software maker TeleNav is jumping into hardware business and announcing their very own GPS navigation device Telenav Shotgun. Just like most others Telenav Shotgun has a wide 4.3″ touch screen, built-in speakers, audio jack, and rechargeable batteries. However Telenav Shotgun puts itself a step above the rest thanks to its two way connectivity features. |

Holux GPSmile 62 GPS navigation is the latest from the company that we will be visiting in January at CES. The new sat nav device features a 5″ WQVGA screen with 16:9 ratio and has a multimedia player so you can watch videos and listen to music on those long road trips. |

Intelligent Digital Compass is the name of this little widget that is expected to come out this January. It is not a navigation system or a GPS data logger but merely a device to mark your position so you can always get back there. Quite simple but can be very very useful. |

Katana likes to include A-GPS receivers in their phones and the new Sanyo Katana Eclipse X is no exception to that. Compared to the Katana Eclipse we spoke of back in August this one also offers Sprint’s One Click interactive user interface that lets you customize your home screen which can include widgets such as Google search, email, music, messaging, etc. |

The NCC just announced that they’d be manufacturing Goodyear branded GPS navigation systems called GY500X. GY-500X will be targeting truck, RV, motor home drivers and apparently will have more than just a ‘commercial mode’. We’re not sure what that really means but the features include commercial routes, height restrictions, weight, and weight/axle restrictions, and special POIs such as weigh stations, truck stops, and diesel gas stations. |

Cobra has a few brand new radar detectors out there that can work with the additional help from GPS receivers. One of them is Cobra XRS 9960G which offers detection of 12 radar/laser bands and comes with Cobra’s full-color ExtremeBright DataGrafix Display II, an 8-point electronic compass, Voice Alert, and car battery voltage display/low car battery warning. |

Garmin today announced that it is offering two new navigation devices to add to the line of BMW Portable Navigation Systems. These Garmin devices are known as the Portable Navigation System Plus and Portable Navigation System Pro, and are already available at BMW dealerships in North America, Europe and other regions of the world. |
